I was very warmly welcomed yesterday by the staff and pupils of The Boyle and Petyt School, which sits in beautiful countryside just outside Ilkley, in North Yorkshire. I performed Buzzing! to Mrs Bryant’s class of Years 3 and 4, and Mrs Addy’s class of Years 5 and 6 (which was taken yesterday by Mr Parker).
Mrs Bryant’s class also learnt to recite one of my poems – about Errol the Earwig. They were very good at putting on scary voices!
Mrs Addy’s class were very beady-eyed and found many ladybirds, ladybird larvae and even pupating ladybirds on their playing field. They then wrote excellent haikus about ladybirds.
