I am delighted to have linked up with Meltons Too for my contribution to the 2008 York Literature Festival. Come along and enjoy a sumptuous 4-course meal, whilst I entertain you with poems that I’ve written specially to complement the menu and bring a smile to your face.

The all-inclusive price of £25 includes 4 delicious courses (using local, seasonal produce – see menu below), an apéritif, coffee and live poetry performance.

Numbers are limited. Book your tickets now, direct from Meltons Too, on 01904 629222 or greatfood@meltonstoo.co.uk

Come on a story walk in the park!

12 January 2008

Why not celebrate National Storytelling Week this year with a Story Walk through West Bank Park in York? Dress up warm and wander with us round this beautiful park (see photos), listening to spellbinding stories.

The walk, which takes place from 2-4 pm on Saturday 2 February, is being organised by the Friends of West Bank Park. I am proud to be one of the invited storytellers.

At the end of the walk there will be a steaming mug of hot chocolate and delicious biscuits in the park’s cafe.

It only costs £1.50 to join in (refreshments included). All ages are welcome, from babies to centenarians – there will be something for everyone!

Book your place by phoning 612418, or just turn up at 2pm at the ‘Break in the Park’ cafe.

See you there!
