There are many things we’re not allowed to be doing during this second lockdown here in England. But there are plenty of gorgeous autumn leaves for children (and us grown-ups!) to be kicking our way through!
Here’s a poem for children – and young-at-heart grown-ups – to join in with, in celebration of the glorious autumn activity that is scrunching through piles of leaves.
And here, for teachers and home-schooling parents (and anyone else who fancies), is a pdf of the poem.
Here’s to all the different shapes, colours and sounds of the leaves you’ll be stomping through this autumn!
You can watch more of my ‘Stomping through the Seasons’ videos here, and more of my lockdown nature videos, made for you and your kids/pupils, here.

I love ” colours and sounds of the leaves …
Yes, scrunching and crunching through different coloured and shaped leaves is a great autumn joy!
